About this Session

Join Mike McFarlin, CPA, President of McFarlin & Brokke as we explore nonprofit financial management best practices, finance committees, the IRS Form 990 and demystify the world of audits.

  • What is the role of the finance committee in audits and what is it's relationship to the rest of the board?

  • What can we learn from a 990 and how can we tell part of our organization's story through it?

  • What is the difference between an audit, a compilation and a review?

  • What can an audit find and what can't it?
